PHILIP ELLEWYN COULTER

Philip Ellewyn Coulter, 90, passed away on February 4, 2024 in Netarts, Oregon. He was born on January 24, 1934, in Sweet Springs, Missouri to Harry and Emma Jane Coulter.
Philip joined the United States Navy in 1952, where he would serve four years overseas.
He married his wife, Ila Mae on October 19, 1956, in Springfield, Missouri.
He graduated from Bible College in Springfield in 1966. Philip lived in Missouri for 28 years, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine for four years as a missionary, southern California for 40 years and Tillamook, Oregon since June 20, 2010. He started two churches in California and one in Ukraine.
Besides being a pastor for 47 years, Philip worked as an electrician, electric motor rewinder/repairman and a heating/air conditioning technician.
Philip enjoyed traveling, working on cars and wood working. He traveled to all 50 states and 40 different countries.
Philip is survived by his wife, Ila Mae Coulter; children, Timothy (Tonaleen) Coulter of Emmett, Idaho, Kitti (Robbie) Roberts of Emmett, Idaho, David (Heidi) Coulter of Tillamook, Oregon, Angel (Rodney) Tyrell of Blue Jay, California and Amber (David) Hunter of Portland, Oregon; siblings, Marilyn Foreman of Branson, Missouri, David Coulter of Israel, Arizona, James Coulter of Israel, Arizona, Nathan and Oren Coulter of Springfield, Missouri and Samuel Coulter of Springfield, Missouri; 31 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
Phillip was preceded in death by his brother Paul Coulter.
Memorial contributions in Philip’s name can be made to the Ocean Breeze Baptist Church in Tillamook, Oregon.
