ROY EDWARD “EDDIE” LONG

Roy Edward “Eddie” Long, 85, of Ash Grove passed away on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024. He was born on April 21, 1939, the son of Thomas Neville and Blanche Ophelia (Aldridge) Long.
On May 21, 1960, he married Sue Pringle, they shared over 64 years together.
He was a student at Yocum grade school and Ash Grove High School. He served in the United States Air Force and was an active member of Willard First Baptist Church and worked in the nursery and youth.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; children, Teresa (Michael) Jones and Angela (Brian) Wildermuth; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Long; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Tom, Elgie, Gene, Harold, Clyde, Ken, Charles, Randy; sisters: Ann, Esther, Jeanie, and Charlene; and his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Willard First Baptist Church in Willard. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. with burial to follow at Ash Grove Cemetery in Ash Grove.
