SAM JOHNSON

Sam Johnson, 80, of Republic, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024.
He was born Feb. 26,1944 in Hamburg, Iowa to Samuel Gilbert and Virginia (Meador) Johnson.
He grew up in Fairfax and graduated from Fairfax High School.
He married Sharon Lynn Oswald on April 30, 1966, and they shared 57 years together before he passed.
He worked for Wilbert Burial Vault Company in St. Joseph for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his children, Greg (Annie) Johnson and Jeff (Linda) Johnson; two grandchildren; his sister, Jane (Ron) Conard; two nephews; his sister-in-law, Joy Oswald; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services and interment were held on Friday, March 8, at English Grove Cemetery in Fairfax.
