SHIRLEY JEAN BROWN

Shirley Jean Brown, 85, passed away on March 6, 2025. She was born on July 16, 1939.
She attended William Jewel College and Southwest Missouri State University, earning numerous degrees in education. As a career educator at the Ash Grove School District, she touched the lives of countless students throughout her long career and loved to watch as they found their place in the world. She was a life-long learner who found joy in sharing her knowledge while inspiring young minds.
In May of 1957, she married her husband, Charles.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years; her three daughters: Delores, Debbie, and Tonja; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services under the direction of  Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home  will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, at Johns Chapel Cemetery in Ash Grove.
