Steven Ray Fry

Steven Ray Fry, 72, of Highlandville passed away in his home May 13, at 3 p.m. from a long illness. He was born on Oct. 29, 1953, to William and Ruth Fry in Mt Carmel, Ill.

Fry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon L. Fry and beloved son, Josh A. Fry of Highlandville; his brothers, Ron and wife Eva Fry of Kimberling City and Larry and wife Julia Fry of Clever; nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a lot of close friends that were very dear to him. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruth (Taylor) Fry; and his youngest brother, David Fry.

He worked at Edmonds Dental Prosthetics for over 25 years. He had his own lawn care business. He loved to hunt and fish. He loved his family dearly and will be truly missed. 

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, 2026 W.Woodland St, Springfield. Graveside services will follow at noon, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 5234 W State Hwy EE, Springfield. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield.
