Ulus JR Redding

Ulus JR Redding, 101, of Springfield, passed away on March 20, 2026, at Springfield. Ulus was born to Ulus Redding and May Redding on Oct. 7, 1924 in Cato. Ulus was united in marriage to Wanda Redding. Ulus proudly served in the United States
Navy during World War II until his honorable discharge.

Ulus had his own refrigeration business in Springfield as well as opened and had a Dairy Queen franchise in Ozark. He then went on to retire from 3M in Springfield as maintenance after many years. He was very active in the Steam -O-Rama event and was a member of the Ozarks Steam Engine Association.

Ulus was preceded in death by his spouse, Wanda Redding; father, Ulus Redding; mother, May Redding ; son, Dan Redding; daughter-in-law Liz Redding her son Ricardo; He is survived by his son Jack Redding; daughter-in-law Cindy Redding; two grand children and two great grandchildren.

A visitation for Ulus will be held on Monday, 23rd of March, 2026, at 2:00-4:00 P.M. at Greenlawn Funeral Home South in Springfield. A Committal Service will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
