VETA ELIZABETH HOOD

Veta Elizabeth Hood, 79, of Chesapeake passed away on April 25, 2024. She was born on Aug. 10, 1944, to Jess and Opal (Coatney) Alley, one of five children in the home.
She was a member of Republic Free Will Baptist Church for over 30 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Benbrook; siblings: Virgil (Maureen) Alley, Phil Alley and Mary Johnson; as well as her church family and other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Troy Paul Alley.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Republic Free Will Baptist Church. Visitation and funeral services, with Rev. Don Anderson officiating, were held on Tuesday, April 30, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. She was buried at Pritchett Cemetery following the funeral service.
