VICKI DIANN STURGEON

Vicki Diann Sturgeon, 69, of Stark City passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin. She was born in Lamar on Oct. 30, 1955; the daughter of Dewey and Joanne (Storbeck) Patterson.
On May 7, 1977, she married Allan Dale Sturgeon, they were married for almost 40 years when he passed away on Feb. 6, 2017.
She graduated from Marionville High School and attended Crowder College in Neosho. She was employed by Walmart as a pharmacy technician, as a secretary for the CPA Group, and worked alongside her husband on their cattle and poultry farm.
She is survived by her son, Dusty (Val) Sturgeon of Stark City; daughters, Amy (Brad) James of Neosho and Lindsay (Chad) Bigham of Joplin; sister, Jolene (Ed)  Welch of Willard; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held on Monday, April 7, at Mount Olive Cemetery in Pioneer under the direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Paul Wahlert conducted the service.
