WILDA JEAN (MCGUIRE) SCHWENN

Wilda Jean (McGuire) Schwenn, 77, of Branson West passed away Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024. She was born Jan. 12, 1947, in Hamburg, Iowa to Lester and Eva (Jones) McGuire.
She was raised in Tarkio and graduated from Tarkio schools in 1965 and joined the First Baptist Church at the age of 12.
On Sept. 12, 1965, she married Don Schwenn and she joined the United Methodist Church. They were married for 58 years when he passed away on Jan. 24, 2024.
In 1974, she and her family moved to Springfield to start a new adventure and later moved to Willard. In 1998 Don and Wilda moved to a retirement home on the lake.
She is survived by her sons, Marc Schwenn and wife Dolores Coble and Matthew Schwenn; four grandchildren; siblings, Earlene Hicks and Gaynel Loveland; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; parents; brother, Larry McGuire; and sister, Debbie Closser.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home in Ash Grove.
