WILLIAM IVEY

William Ivey, 71, of Republic passed away on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024. He was born in Litchfield, Ill. on Feb. 20, 1953; the son of William and Mary (Whittenburgh) Ivey.
He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy, to include three years in Vietnam. He participated in Rendezvous and Historical Reenactments of Lewis and Clark. He was a member of The Warrior Watch Riders, providing funeral escorts for fallen brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his children, Crystal Ivey and William Ivey; a sister, Mary; as well as other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous siblings.
A visitation is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. He will be laid to rest at 1 p.m. at Missouri Veteran Cemetery in Springfield, where he will receive full military honors.
