Addition at Dynamic Strides allows expansion of services, aqua therapy

Dynamic Strides Therapy is raising funds through a capital campaign called Aqua-tunity to pay for additions to its main facility. Once the additions are complete, the facility will be able to offer therapy to more patients.
“This will be an addition to our building that has three components,” said Brandi O’Reilly, founder of Dynamic Strides and its board president. “The aquatic center, so we can expand our offerings of aquatic therapy; seven treatment rooms … (and) a multipurpose room where we can continue to expand our offering to the families we serve.”
Currently, there is a long list of patients who are waiting to receive treatment at Dynamic Strides. O’Reilly said that with the additions, they will be able to provide those patients with the therapy they need.
“With the addition, we will offer aquatic therapy for physical and occupational therapy,” she said. “It (will also) allow us to expand our therapy service to more children in the community, which (will) allow us to work through our waitlist of more than 140 children.
Within two years of opening the new center, we should be about to accommodate most of the current waitlist.”
None of the additions, O’Reilly added, would interfere with Dynamic Strides current services, as the additions will be in the back of the main building. O’Reilly also said Dynamic Strides would also hire eight new therapists over the two-year period.
The time frame for the new additions will be determined after the funds are raised.
