Ash Grove’s Gunlock named Greene County Democrats Chairman

The Greene County Democratic Party voted unanimously to elect former candidate for State Representative and cattleman Tyler Gunlock as their chairman Tuesday, Aug. 18.
The Greene County Democrat committee convened to elect Gunlock, as well as their vice chair, treasurer and secretary via Zoom.
Gunlock outlined his priorities as chair in his acceptance speech.
“In the face of the national and historic challenge to the safety and prosperity of our nation that is the Trump and Parson administrations, I am honored to lead our county’s efforts to elect Democrats and start the work of getting our state back on track.”
Gunlock comes to power during a pivotal moment in the history of the Greene County Democrats, with multiple competitive races taking place within the county and national headwinds trending towards a Democratic upset.
Wes Zongker, outgoing chair of the Greene County Democrats was pleased with the pic.
“I have the utmost confidence in Tyler as a leader and know that he will do a fantastic job as chair. Our party is in good hands.”
Missouri House Minority Leader and Greene County Democrat Crystal Quade echoed his sentiment.
“I am thrilled that the Greene County Democrats have selected Tyler Gunlock as county chair. A former candidate and an avid community leader, Tyler knows exactly how to dig in and do the work to see change. This is going to be a great year for Democrats and I am excited to see Tyler leading our county forward.”
