Ash Grove Pharmacy changes hands after 37 years under Ward

Ash Grove Pharmacy has two new owners. Brothers Colby and Whitney Grove, who purchased the pharmacy from Terry Ward in January, have taken ownership of the business.  
Ward said he decided to sell the pharmacy because he wanted to start a new chapter in his life.
“It’s just I’m 67 years old and it’s time to slow down a bit,” he said.
Originally from Omaha, Neb., Ward purchased Ash Grove Pharmacy in 1982. He said he bought the pharmacy because he wanted to give a higher level of care to his customers.
“I just wanted a little bit more variety in what I was doing at the time, and handling a small-town store not only allowed me to just fill prescriptions, (but I also) got to help people and do some other things in the community at the same time,” he said.
People are still Ward’s favorite part of the business. He cherishes all the friendships he and his family have made since coming to Ash Grove.
