Brittany Ashe Barker

Brittany Ashe Barker, 31, of Hollister, passed away on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025.  She was born June 10, 1994, in Springfield, to Richard Barker Jr. and Michelle (Utterback) Barker.  
She had been working on becoming a paralegal to help advocate for children that were in the hospital often, like she had been. She loved classic television shows and cooking shows. She also enjoyed watching Marvel movies and Harry Potter. She loved to cook and had her own pickling company, pickling all sorts of different foods.
She is survived by father, Richard Barker Jr. and wife Cynthia; mother, Michelle Barker and husband Leroy; siblings, Bear Barker, Alexandra Barker, Brittany Harp; nieces, Penelope Barker, Ash and Attie Harp; grandparents, Larry Utterback and Brenda Pratt; boyfriend, Artem Taylor and his son and other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Laura Barker, and Larry Pratt.
Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to NKF: National Kidney Foundation or Ronald McDonald House and may be left with the funeral home.
