Callaway to compete for Miss Missouri’s Outstanding Teen

Republic’s Bryiar Callaway will compete for Miss Missouri’s Out- standing Teen this June in Mexico, Mo.
Callaway is an eighth-grader at Republic Middle School. She is an honor roll student and a member of the Na- tional Junior Honor Society and choir. She is a competitive dancer and trains through Springfield Little Theater.
Last fall, Callaway was crowned Miss Historic 66’s Outstanding Teen, a local title which qualifies her to compete for the state title. Miss Missouri’s Outstanding Teen is part of the Miss America Scholarship Program. The Teen program promotes scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America’s teens. To compete for the title in June, Calla- way will demonstrate communication skills, talent, wellness, community service, and academic achievement.
Callaway’s platform is “Making Hunger History”, in which she has teamed up with Ozarks Food Harvest and other local organizations to fight hunger in the Ozarks. In addition, Callaway has volunteered to help and raise donations for the Miss America national platform: Children’s Miracle Network.
