Cameron vies for Springfield city manager position

Republic City Administrator David Cameron is officially being considered for the position of city manager for the City of Springfield. He, along with two other candidates—Bob Cowell and Brian Weiler—are finalists for the job, announced in a press release last week from the City of Springfield.
The three men will participate in a series of engagements in Springfield through April 16 before a final selection is made by the Springfield City Council.
Cameron, a Miller native, has been with the City of Republic since 2016. His annual salary is approximately $281,000. The salary for the Springfield position was recently raised to $350,000 annually.
