My vast knowledge during my 26 years working in the Assessors Office face-to-face with hard working citizens, realtors and business owners makes me the best choice for assessor!

Brent Johnson
Age: 43
Occupation: Retired, Formerly the Geospatial, Demographics & Analytics Coordinator for O’Reilly Auto Parts (Real Estate Department)
Education: B.S. Cartographic and Geospatial Sciences from SMSU (Missouri State University), I am currently a Certified GIS Professional (GISP), and former Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM).
Why should someone vote for you? I was born and raised in Greene County, my family have been hard working Greene County residents for over 130 years. I am the only outside candidate running for assessor. It’s time to stop the decades old cycle “status quo” of electing internal employees from within the Assessor’s Office. I can offer over 20 years of experience working in local government, both in the public and private sectors, including as a consultant for local government. I interviewed thousands of departments and offices, providing them with solutions to reduce redundancy, streamline workflows, increase productivity, reduce waste, improve data accuracy and customer service. I can bring these years of knowledge from hundreds of different governments, knowing what works and doesn’t. Leadership is the foundation of a solid office, the leadership experience I bring to the office is unmatched by the other candidates. I have managed a government department of over 35 employees, oversaw the Southeastern operations for a company, ran various department and groups over the years. I have served as Chairman, Vice Chairman, Director and member of multiple boards and organizations, internationally, regionally and locally. I have been awarded some of the highest awards for leadership within the Boy Scouts of America.
I will focus on the Citizens of Greene County, with improvements to customer service, removing the cost to access the online maps and data (something you the citizens already paid to have created), evaluate workflows to make sure staff is not overworked,
