Cecil Eugene Weaver

Cecil Eugene (Gene) “Hoppy” Weaver, 90, of Walnut Grove, the son of Porter and Elizabeth (Willard) Weaver was born June 14, 1935, in Galloway.
He married Mary (Gregory) Kellner on Aug. 3, 1956.
He was a member of Guys Chapel, Willard. He was employed by Cloud Furniture and Vermillion in Springfield. He retired from Willard High School as custodian in June of 2000.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Weaver; son, Leonard Kellner; parents, Porter and Elizabeth Weaver; siblings, Ed Weaver, Opal Chapman, Dorothy Weaver, Kay Cameron, Barbara Weaver, Bill Weaver, Lloyd Weaver, Faye Sieber and Maxine Hayes.
He is survived by his children, Tony Weaver and wife Debbie, Donna Parker and husband Lee; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-granddaughters; daughter-in-law, Debbie Kellner; and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, at Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove.
