EARL THOMPSON “TOM” JONES

Earl Thompson (Tom) Jones, 77, passed away on June 10, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with COPD. He was born in Springfield on Aug. 5, 1947; the son of E. Thompson Jones and Pauline Lowry Jones.
In 1963, he met the love of his life, Sandra, and they were married on Sept. 3, 1965. He was saved in 1974, he followed his faith and served for several years as the board president of the Full Gospel Church in Elkland.
He spent most of his life on the road, driving 18 wheelers across the country.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his children: Troy (Lana) Jones, Tammy (Tony) Taylor, Sherry Holt and Eric (Michelle) Jones; his eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; his three brothers and their wives; his four sisters and their husbands; and countless nieces, nephews, and friends who were touched by his love and generosity.
He was preceded in death by both parents; his stepmother, Rosemary Jones; and his youngest brother, David Jones.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of Meadors Funeral Home.
