ELLA DEAN LAUDERDALE

Ella Dean Lauderdale, 93, of Nixa passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Nixa Nursing and Rehab in Nixa. She was born in Wheaton on Nov. 19, 1931; the daughter of Curtis and Frona (Dopp) Price.
She grew up and attended school in Wheaton, graduating from Wheaton High School. She was a lifelong resident of Barry County and was employed by Litho Printers in Cassville, where she worked in advertising and publication for several years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women; and worked at the United Methodist Church Food Pantry in Cassville.
On March 3, 1950, she married Bobby Ray Lauderdale in Wheaton. They were married for 58 years when he passed away on Dec. 23, 2008.
Surviving are her son, Larry (Judy) Lauderdale of Ransom Canyon, Texas; daughters, Patty Daugherty of Nixa and Jana Sue Joeckel of Exeter; brother, James (Sue) Price of Florida; sister-in-law, Colleen Grovesner of Jamestown; six grandchildren and their spouses; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray; her parents; and a granddaughter, Bobbie Sue Joeckel.
Graveside services, under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, were held on Friday, July 25, at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter. Pastor Jeff Fugitt conducted the services.
