GARY L. MCCONNELL

Gary L. McConnell, 79, of Brookline passed away on July 16, 2025, after a brief illness. He was born in Republic on Dec. 7, 1945; the son of Harry and JoAnn (Duvall) McConnell.
He graduated from Republic High School in 1963. He had two children, Gina and Travis and when he married Linda on April 5, 1986, she brought a son, Logan, whom he adopted and raised as his own. 
He began his working career with Gospel Publishing House in Springfield, working in the printing department and as a book binder. He then went on to work in the sales and distribution department for Coors for 17 years, followed by another 21 years at Budweiser.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Gina (Gary) DeHaven and Travis McConnell; two grandchildren, Aiden Hedenberg and Ava McConnell; as well as other extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Logan McConnell.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 22, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. Burial followed in Lindsey Cemetery in Republic.
