GARY LAWRENCE GOSSETT

Gary Lawrence Gossett, 82, of Greenfield passed away on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025. He was born in Aurora on June 29, 1942; the son of Lovel and Velma (Cartwright) Gossett.
He was a 1960 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School in Mt. Vernon. He had a barber shop in Halltown, was a farmer and owned a video store.
On May 29, 1961, he married Margaret Jane Pendergrass, in Ash Grove. They were married for 62 year before she passed away Dec. 7, 2023.
He is survived by two sons, Shannon (Gerry) Gossett of Greenfield and Gary W. (Debbie) Gossett of Ash Grove; two brothers, Ronnie and Ricky; one sister, Vickie; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret; his brother, Dave; two sisters, Patty and Lucille and one great-grandson.
No services are planned at this time. Burial will be held at a later date at Ruckman Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
