Greene County Route BB bridge over Little Sac River closed due to deterioration

A recent in-depth bridge inspection of the Greene County Route BB bridge over Little Sac River, located between Greene County Route Z and Missouri Route 13 northeast of Willard, revealed deteriorating conditions prompting an immediate need to close the bridge on Monday, Oct. 28, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Crews are finalizing the method and schedule for repairs, but plan to have the bridge repaired and open to traffic by Dec. 31, 2019.
Drivers will be able to access entrances on either side of the bridge. However, they will not be able to cross the bridge during the closure for repairs.
There will be no signed detour. Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the bridge closing.
The bridge was built in 1939 and carries approximately 400 vehicles per day.
