JAMES KIRK NORTON

James Kirk Norton, 62, of Ash Grove passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025. He was born in Springfield on June 22, 1962; the son of James Lee and Floy Darlene (Cobb) Norton.
On Feb. 7, 1994, he married Phebe Upshaw and they shared over 30 years together.
He is survived by his wife, Phebe Norton; children: Jennifer (Peter) Laurvick, Sarah Norton (Elijah Dean), Seth Norton, Breanna Norton, Isabel (Caden) West and Michelle Norton; three grandchildren, Michael, Esther; his siblings: Jami (Dan) Gay, Russell Smith and Laura Smith; his aunts, Judy (Roland) Dudley and Kathie (Bruce) Battenfield; as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, John Godfrey; and brother, Stan Smith.
Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 11, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home in Ash Grove.
