Jules P. Guidry IV

Jules P. Guidry IV, 84, of Battlefield passed away on May 23, 2026.

 Born and raised in Kirkwood, he attended Kirkwood schools and graduated from the University of Washington. 

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for nine years and later retired from a long career with the state of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. J. Paul Guidry and Susan Guidry, as well as two sisters and two brothers. 

He is survived by his loving wife Connie Guidry; his daughter Nikki Guidry-Wold and her husband Michael; his son Bryan J. Guidry; and his six brothers and three sisters (he was one of 14 children). He will be cremated and his urn placed at Missouri Veteran's Cemetery, Springfield.

A celebration of life visitation was held at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 1, at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Springfield. The Warrior Watch Riders (WWR) followed with a final salute. The WWR escorted him to MO Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, where he received full military honors and was then laid to rest. A reception followed at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home.
