Mary Ann Rambo

Mary Ann Rambo was born on Easter Sunday, April 4, 1926, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  After a short illness she passed away, Wednesday, September 19, 2018, surrounded by loved ones in her home in Billings. She was 92 years of age. Mary Ann was the youngest of six children born to Linn E. and Maude Clara Erdman Rambo. She graduated from Soldan High School in St. Louis in 1944, and soon after trained as a medical laboratory technician. In 1948, Mary Ann married Robert Lee Rauch, of Billings.  Together they had three children:   Robert, David and Kristin.  After several years on the family farm, the family eventually moved to Higginsville, Missouri. In 1967, Mary Ann married Dr. Edwin T. Riekhof, of Higginsville.  They had one son, Eric Arlinn.  In 1989, she moved to Jefferson City, Missouri, where she lived until 2005.  During these years in retirement she spent many summers with her daughter and family in Montana.  In 2005, Mary Ann returned to Billings for the remainder of her life. There she was closer to family members and enjoyed reconnecting with old friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, her father, her stepfather, and her five siblings. She is survived by her children:  Robert W. Rauch (Carolyn) of Higginsville, David L. Rauch (Chris) of Billings, Eric A. Riekhof, of Milan, Missouri, and Dr. Kristin A. Rauch (Brian Kerns), of Missoula, Montana.  Also surviving are: nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Catherine Rambo, Morrison, IL, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Services for Mary Ann Rambo will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 29, 2018, at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, in Billings.  Visitation will precede the service at the church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Billings, at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, Missouri.
