MERLYN RAY GOODSON

Merlyn Ray Goodson, 83, passed away on  Sept. 20, 2024. He was born in the heart of Kinsley, Kan. on Sept. 24, 1940; the son of Elbert and Hazel (Krumrey) Goodson.
He graduated from Kinsley Senior High School.
On March 27, 1993, he married Michelle Hoffer.
Throughout his life, his passion for meteorology led him to a career as a dedicated Meteorology Technician at NOAA, where he shared his knowledge and expertise with all who sought his guidance.
He is survived by his wife Michelle; son, Randy (Sheryl) Goodson; daughters: Tammy (Michael) Brougher, Cheryl (Phillip) Nelson and Paula (Daniel) Fertig; his sister, Arlene Maurer; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elaine Cozens.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Willard Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. All are invited to join in remembering the joy and warmth he shared with the world.
