MICHAEL “MIKE” BISHOP

Michael “Mike” Bishop, 68, of Willard passed away on July 3, 2025. He was born on July 28, 1956; the son of Bob and Ann Bishop.
He grew up on a farm in the Greenfield and Everton area and attended school in Greenfield. He was involved in FFA, football, and basketball, and received several awards in both football and basketball. He was a member of the Greenfield 1974 basketball team that won second place in the state championship game.
He married Patti Willis on Jan. 25, 1980. They shared over 45 years together and raised three children, and hosted a foreign exchange student from Brazil. He retired from Prairie Mountain Screening after 23 years. Previously, he worked at Lockwood Farmer’s Exchange and spent three years working in the oil field in Oklahoma. He was also a certified meat cutter and worked at Food Fair Supermarket in Greenfield. He also served on the Everton school board for 12 years.
He is survived by his wife, Patti; son, Zachery of Brighton; daughters, Jenni and Hannah (James) of Willard; four grandchildren; his uncle, Donnie Bishop; aunts: Leona Clabough, Judy Mitchell and Judy (Kyle) Wynes; sister-in-law, Nancy (Leon) Daniel; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rick Bishop; grandparents: Clifford and Eula Bishop, Orville Fleeman and Murlie Morrow; and several uncles and aunts.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time on Friday, July 11, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home in Ash Grove. Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m.
