New website more user friendly, has new resources for Ash Grove schools

The Ash Grove School District has a new and improved website, www.agpirates.com.
Dr. Aaron Gerla, superintendent of Ash Grove schools, said the new site was made while changing the district e-mail addresses.
“The website will have basically the same information that our previous website had,” he said. “We made the switch to the new name while we were converting our email addresses to the agpirates.com, as well.”
Gerla also said the new website will be much easier to use.
“We have spent a lot of time updating and modernizing our website over the past years to make it as user friendly as possible,” he said. “There are a lot of great resources that you can connect to through our website such as all of our district’s curriculum, the district calendar, a photo montage that shows what ‘Proud to be a Pirate’ looks like and an area dedicated to all of the district’s ongoing activities.”
Some districts hire outside technicians to develop their websites, but Gerla said the Ash Grove site was developed by district employees.
“We are a Google reference district so all of our work was done in house through Google,” he said.
As of press time, the district’s original website, https://sites.google.com/site/ashgrovedistrictoffice, remained online.
