No injuries in Ash Grove school bus incident

An Ash Grove school bus was involved in an incident with another vehicle on the morning of Thursday, Oct. 24, at the intersection of State Highways 266 and AB. No one was injured.
KY3, citing information from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, reported that the bus turned in front of the other vehicle, which then clipped the bus, ran off the road, hit a tree and caught fire.
Dr. Aaron Gerla, superintendent of Ash Grove R-IV Schools, identified the bus as number 08-09. He confirmed the crash occurred and said neither the driver nor students were hurt, adding that the students were transported to school by another bus and were checked over by the school nurse when they arrived. He also said there was minimal damage to the bus.
Gerla did not identify the driver nor state whether the driver would face any disciplinary action, stating, “We are still collecting all of the facts as to what happened (that) morning.”
