Rendezvous returns for 2019

Ash Grove’s annual Rendezvous fall festival was ready for a big crowd last Saturday, as downtown’s Main Street was partially lined with vendors. But the big crowd never showed. Possibly thanks to competing events and the abnormally hot weather, only a moderate number of people made it to the event. While some vendors did actually report decent sales for the day, the turnout was a bit less than expected.
“I’d like to thank our very generous sponsors for helping us pull off a successful event. Our group of a few active volunteers deserves a big hand for putting in the tireless hours to make an event with something for everyone,” said organizer Stuart Coutchie.
“However, due to added competition from other local events and our lower than anticipated turnout we are considering what events to hold for the 2020 schedule. Without a larger volunteer group, we can only hold a couple events for the community.”
