SALLY ANN (HANSEN) RADER

Sally Ann (Hansen) Rader, 88, of Willard passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa on Aug. 2, 1936; the daughter of Ted and Polly (Harden) Hansen. 
She raised her children on the family farm near Willard. Once her kids left home, she dedicated her time to her career as a rural mail carrier, rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals, and volunteering at the Willard Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. She spent countless hours towards organizations such as the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, Meals on Wheels, the Willard Clothing Bank, Newborns in Need, Children's Miracle Network and donated untold pints of blood to the American Red Cross. 
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Jerome; her siblings: Joyce James, Mary Tibbetts and John Hansen (all of the greater Des Moines, Iowa area); her children: Michael Rader of Willard, Susan (Mark) Anglin of Hernando Miss., Diane (Chris) Jewell of Fair Grove and Mark (Christine) Rader; her eight grandchildren and their families; and five great-grandchildren. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Theodore (Ted) Hansen and grandson, Nicholas David Rader. 
 Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. and memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, at Willard Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
