SARAH JO (KILLINGSWORTH) PILGRIM-HARMAN

Sarah Jo (Killingsworth) Pilgrim-Harman, 83, of Walnut Grove passed away on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024. She was born on Nov. 28, 1940, in Walnut Grove; the daughter of Glen and Winnie (Porter) Killingsworth.
On June 25, 1956, she married Larry Carl Bryant.
On Aug. 13, 1977, she married Dan E. Pilgrim and they shared over 25 years together, before his passing in 2003. She then married Byron Harman on July 31, 2009, and they shared 13 years together, before he passed away in 2022.
She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1958. She was a member of several different card groups, enjoyed going to the Sunshine Center, and was a member of Walnut Grove First Baptist Church. She retired with emeritus status from Missouri State University where she worked with students on career planning and placement.
She is survived by her children: Kim Dobbins and Scott (Miranda) Bryant; step children: Christopher (Beth) Pilgrim, Karen (Joe) Hayes, Joe Pilgrim, Randy (Susan) Harman, Ronnie (Kristie) Harman, Russell “Russ” (Dawn) Harman; step daughter-in-law, Lavena Pilgrim; six grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; great-great-grandson; other family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; son, Randy Carl Bryant; brothers, Max Killingsworth and Rex Killingsworth; son-in-law, Tommy Dobbins; stepson, Scott Pilgrim; and step-grandson, Jackson Pilgrim.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Sept. 6, at the Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home in Walnut Grove. Burial followed at Greene Lawn Cemetery in Walnut Grove.
