TRUMAN RICHARD SWANN

Truman Richard Swann, 93, of Willard passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025. He was born in Oklahoma City, Okla. on March 6, 1932; the son of Earnest and Gertrude Swann.
He attended Oklahoma schools after which he joined the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1953 and served his country in Korea. He met Mary Moore McCance and the two married in 1955 in Grand Junction, Colo. where their three sons were born. The family moved to Missouri in 1959, where he operated Swann Heating and worked for Wickes. Later he became a home builder and retired from insurance in 1996 to farm. He belonged to Willard First Baptist Church and at one time served as the President of Southern Missouri Woodcarvers.
He is survived by his sons: Steven (Diane) Swann, Curtis (Mary Eva) Swann and Bradley (Christine) Swann; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and four nieces and their families.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his parents; his brother, Winfred; his sister, Sharron Phillips; and a granddaughter, Lindsey Pineda.
Services were held in White Chapel Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
Arrangements were entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
