Tummons earns prestigious national USDA award

Bois D’Arc native Dr. John Tummons received the 2019 USDA National Teaching and Student Engagement Award at the annual Association of Public and Land-grant Uni- versities meeting in San Diego, Calif., last week. Tummons is a 1994 graduate of Ash Grove High School, a graduate of the University of Missouri and is currently an as- sistant teaching professor, and director of undergraduate studies, at the University of Missouri College of Agriculture Food and Natural Resources.
