Two state routes in Greene County set for resurfacing starting in mid-April

Drivers can expect one-lane traffic and crews and equipment on Greene County Route Z near Willard and Greene County Route F near Ash Grove as contractor crews resurface the two state routes at various times starting in mid-April, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The two roads will receive new asphalt driving surfaces.
During the road work, drivers can expect slowed and, possibly, stopped traffic with flaggers directing them through work zones.
Crews also will use pilot vehicles to lead traffic through the work areas. Drivers on side roads should wait for the pilot vehicle before entering roadways where the resurfacing work is taking place.
Here’s a look at the project schedule:
- Week of April 15: Greene County Route Z will be resurfaced between Greene County Farm Road 60 and U.S. Route 160 in Willard. The work on Route Z should be completed by late April.
- Week of April 22: Greene County Route F will be resurfaced between U.S. Route 160 in Ash Grove and Missouri Route 266. The work on Route F should be complete by early May.
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.Blevins Asphalt Construction Company of Mt. Vernon, for a low bid amount of $1.1 million.
The project must be completed by early December 2019. However, the contractor expects the project to be completed in early May, barring any weather or construction delays.
