Walmart begins delivery service, celebrates with ribbon cutting

The Republic Walmart has officially begun operations on a delivery service for their customers. The inauguration of the service was celebrated at a store event Thursday, June 27, with a cake, hundreds of cupcakes, inflatables and even a barbecue food truck. Shown with scissors, Breauna Crawford, Republic Walmart’s assistant manager of online marketing, cuts the ceremonial ribbon for the Republic Area Chamber of Commerce. The newly established service will deliver goods to customers within a nine mile radius, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week, with a minimum of $50 per order, and a max of $500. The prices for delivery varies between $4.95 and $6.95, dependent upon when the order is made. (Photo by Ryan Squibb)
