WANDA VEE LIGHTFOOT

Wanda Vee Lightfoot, 91, of Bolivar passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025. She was born in Pittsburg on July 24, 1933; the daughter of William Barnard and Imogene (Vaughn) Lipe.
She married Billie Dee Lightfoot on Oct. 17, 1948, and they enjoyed 64 years together.
They moved to Bolivar in 1959, where she raised her family and was a talented  florist in the floral production industry.
She was a member of Southside Missionary Baptist Church. 
She is survived by three sons: Gayland (Marcelene) Lightfoot of Bolivar, Garland Leasa) Lightfoot of Bolivar and Mendel (Sylvia) Lightfoot of Republic; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; one brother Donnie (Lena) Lipe of Bolivar; one sister, Ada Lee Walker of Bolivar; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billie Dee Lightfoot; a granddaughter, Destry James; two brothers: Ronnie and William Parker Lipe; a sister, Delores Collins Wierman; and three brothers in-law: Durward Walker, Keith Collins, and Ron Wierman.
A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. at Pitts Chapel with Bro. Efton Piper officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar.
