WAYNE WEST

Wayne West, 75, of Ash Grove passed away on Feb. 3, 2025. He was born in Cave Springs on Jan. 13, 1950; the son of William and Gertrude West.
He met the love of his life, Carolyn, in high school and they were married on Jan. 23, 1970. They shared 50 years and together raised three daughters: Amber, Ashley and Abbey.
He was a graduate of Ash Grove High School and loved the community he grew up in. In 1987, Wayne felt led to run for Ash Grove School Board, where he proudly served for 12 years. 
Wayne was a Baptist at heart and his faith never wavered.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his children: Amber (Jesse) Michalkiewicz of Neenah, Wisc., Ashley (Jarad) Giddens of Nixa and Abbey (Chris) Higgins of Republic; six grandchildren; his brothers, Charles (Judy) West and Tommy (Phyllis) West; his sister-in-law, Faye West; and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Orville Lee and Bob; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ward and Dorothy Williams and sisters-in-law, Viv West and Joyce Daniel.
Services were held on Monday, Feb. 10, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove with burial following at Clear Creek Cemetery in Springfield.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Ash Grove Athletic Department and may be left with the funeral home.
