Work begins on roundabout by Republic High School on Route M

Roundabout construction work began last week on a new roundabout on Greene County Route M at the north entrance to Republic High School, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Over the next several weeks, crews will relocate utilities (many of which have been relocated over the past several months) and other preliminary work.
The project schedule calls for the north entrance to the high school, Greene County Farm Road 103 and Greene County Route M to be closed for several weeks during the project. More details about the closings and when they will occur will be announced when details are confirmed.
The project, which is a partnership between MoDOT, the city of Republic and the Republic School District, will build a roundabout at the intersection of the north entrance to the high school on Repmo Drive, Farm Road 103 and Greene County Route M.
The project is scheduled for completion by Aug. 9, prior to the start of the 2019-2020 school year.
The prime contractor on the project is APAC- Central of Fayetteville,
Ark. The estimated total project cost is $2.3 million dollars, which is be- ing shared by MoDOT, the city, and the school district.
