Have-A-Blast celebration draws 13,000

The city of Republic held its 25th Annual Have-A-Blast Independence Day celebration on Friday, June 25, at J.R. Martin Park. An estimated 13,000 people attended the event, which in addition to America’s independence, also celebrated Republic’s 150th anniversary
as a city.
Jared Keeling, Republic’s parks and recreation director/assistant city administrator, said the evening was one unlike any other.
“It was an incredibly special night for the city of Republic and we just hope that everyone enjoyed the evening and show,” he said. “Not only did we get to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Have-A-Blast, but we also celebrated our 150th year as a city together, as a community
and region. Thanks to all those who came out to celebrate with us and those who supported the event through sponsorships or by volunteering.
Have-A-Blast has become a Republic tradition that gets better every year.”
