ANNA JANE (MCMINDES) GRAY

Anna Jane (McMindes) Gray, 86, formerly of Clever passed away in San Antonio, Texas on Monday, April 28, 2025. She was born in Yellville, Ark. on Oct. 17, 1938; the daughter of John Scott McMindes and Arbie Z. (Dodd) McMindes.
She was a graduate of Yellville High School and moved to Springfield to attend Drury College. While attending Drury and working in a local Italian restaurant, she met Gerald (Jerry) Gray. They were married for 60 years and together raised four children, managed a growing farm, and a successful real estate development business.
She is survived by her son, retired U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant, Shawn S. Gray of San Antonio, Texas; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one great-great child; her first cousin, Glenn Blankenship of Mountain Grove and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Pierce Dobbs; her  husband, Lester Gerald (Jerry) Gray; her brother, Rue Stokes and his wife Lucile; her brother, Jerry McMindes; and his daughter, Lisa Robertson.
There will be a visitation from 2-3 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. A celebration of life will follow immediately thereafter.
