TERESA KAY (THOMAS) HELT

Teresa Kay (Thomas) Helt, 59 of Clever passed away on May 26, 2025. She was born in San Marcos, Texas on Dec. 18, 1965; the daughter of Alvin and Alice (Mangum) Thomas.
On July 17, 1982, she married William Franklin “Bill” Helt. They were married for 40 years when he passed away on Jan. 22, 2023.
She was a homemaker and worked as an associate for Walmart in her later years. She was a member of Hurley Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Franklin (Shannon) Helt and Kevin (Erin) Helt all of Clever; six grandchildren; her siblings: Betty Sue (Red) Plane, Darlene Tarlton, Calvin (Elaine) Thomas, Russell (Veronica) Thomas and Greg Thomas, all of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; and her siblings, Dorothy, Kenneth, Sharon and Gary.
A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30, at Hurley Baptist Church, under direction of Adams Funeral Home in Nixa. Pastor Larry Winfree officiated. Burial followed at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Clever.
