Mary Lou Phelps

Mary Lou Phelps, 87, of Springfield passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, in Springfield Rehabilitation and HealthCare Center in Springfield. She was born in Clarion, Iowa, on Sept. 21, 1937; the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Baker) Morrow.
In 1966, she married James Hugh Phelps.
She is survived by one sister-in-law, Paula Morrow of Princeton, Ill., and six nieces and nephews in different states.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents; and brothers, Robert and Victor.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home in Springfield. Interment will be in her family’s plot in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville, under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
