Tamara N. Paulos

Tamara N. Paulos, 60, of Willard, formerly a longtime resident of Roswell, N.M., passed away on Aug. 27, 2025. She was born in Bryan, Texas, on Feb. 17, 1965 to Charles Nelson, deceased, and Rita Nelson. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 38 years, Clay Paulos, having married on July 25, 1987, along with their two children: Kristyn Paulos Petkau, her husband, Travis Petkau and their two sons, of Willard; and Kathryn Paulos of Jackson, Miss.
She graduated from Bryan High School in 1983. She received an undergraduate degree in 1987 from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, and a graduate degree in 1991 from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas.
She was deeply loved by her family and will be greatly missed. She was always a person of grace which was displayed in the last few months of her life as she lived life to the fullest, never complaining of the pain she was walking through. She made her church home at Calvary Chapel Springfield. She loved ballet, music, and was an avid reader passing on the love of reading to her home-schooled children and oldest grandson. She treasured being a “Nana” to her two grandsons. Most importantly, she leaves a legacy as “mama” and “nana” who taught her daughters to love Jesus and the Word.
She will be interred at the Whisler Cemetery in Ed- mond, Okla. On her behalf, consider a gift to the Chris- tian ministry of Ballet Magnificat (balletmagnificat.com).
Visitation was at 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, Okla. Graveside services were held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6 at Whisler Cemetery.
