Last week, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department reported the deaths of 17 Greene County residents from COVID-19 for the June 21-July 4 reporting period. All 17 fatalities occurred in June. Those who died range in age from their 40s to their 90s.

The Greene County Livestock Expo went off without a hitch Saturday, July 3, at Republic High School in the all-new show barn erected by the agriculture department.

The inaugural “I Love America Kids Parade” held in Republic, July 3, was deemed a success thanks to the more than 40 participants who trekked through Republic’s Owen Park in red, white and blue garb.
