’See How They Run’ in Republic

The Republic High School Tiger Theatre showed two plays in November on alternating nights: “Blithe Spirit” and “See how They Run.”
In “See how They Run,” by Phillip King, Penelope Toop, a former actress who is now married to Lionel Toop, the local vicar, attempts to go to see a play with an old friend of hers, only to become entangled in a situation where an intruder who is attempting to evade the authorities.
In “Blithe Sprit”, by Noel Coward, writer Charles Condomine asks a local medium to conduct a séance at his house, only to see the ghost of his late wife, Elvira, called back from beyond. Adding to his frustration is the fact that only Charles can see Elvira, which leads to confusing and humorous situations with his second wife, Ruth.
