The Willard High School baseball team played six games last week, winning five of them and hosted the Willard Lead Off Classic Thursday, March 26 through Saturday, March 28.
On Saturday the Tigers took on East Carter and won that game 4-0.
The Ash Grove High School softball team traveled to Mt. Vernon to take part in the Mt. Vernon Tournament from Monday, March 23 through Thursday, March 24.
On Tuesday, the Lady Pirates lost to Class 2, fifth ranked Mt. Vernon 11-1.
Republic went 2-2 at the Carthage Festival, bouncing back from Tuesday's no-hit loss at Rogersville with an 11-1 rout of Aurora before dropping a 7-1 decision to Winnetonka and splitting Saturday's doubleheader with losses to Summit Christian and a shutout win over West Plains.

Republic began the baseball season with a 13-4 victory over Hillcrest Thursday at home but dropped both games of Saturday's doubleheader in Columbia, falling 4-3 to Rolla and 9-8 to Rock Bridge.
The Central Ozark Conference (West) girls All-Conference team for 2025-26 has been released and Republic led the way with four selections. Webb City and Willard each had three selections, Carthage had two and Joplin had one player named to the All-Conference team.
Republic's girls basketball season ended Thursday with a 52-41 loss to Nixa in the Class 6 District 5 semifinals. The Lady Tigers finished 23-5 after a week that started with a comfortable 58-34 win over Waynesville in the district opener Monday.
Republic's boys basketball season ended with a district semifinal loss to Kickapoo, but not before the Tigers delivered one of their best defensive performances of the year in a quarterfinal rout of Ozark.
Republic closed the regular season with two wins, avenging an earlier loss at Willard and then beating Parkview to claim the Central Ozark Conference West title outright.
