AGPD gives big assist to Willard cops

The Ash Grove Police Department recently lent a hand to Willard’s police force in apprehending a thief and his stolen booty.
Ash Grove officers assisted the Willard PD during a vehicle pursuit. After determining that the suspect was residing in Ash Grove, an investigation by local officers was conducted, netting quite the discovery. In total, officers recovered $15,000 worth of stolen equipment, which was returned to the rightful owner, a local resident.
This act cleared the burglary case for the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and led to the apprehension of Willard’s pursuit suspect, Justin Sager, 28, Oregon, who also went by the name Spencer Coldwell.
Another bust
In an entirely different bust, the AGPD—working with the Dade County Sheriff’s Office—discovered an estimated 8-10 pounds of illegal marijuana at a residence in Ash Grove. The weed was seized and charges are pending.
AGPD gets new officer
Also making news at the Ash Grove Police Department was the addition of new reserve officer Brian Hinkle, who was offered the job after passing all aspects of the hiring process.
