ALICE JEAN EDWARDS

Alice Jean Edwards, 90, of Clever passed away on Friday, March 3. She was born in Aurora, the daughter of Cameron and Ada (Burke) Willcock. She grew up in Aurora, along with her older brother, Edwin.
In 1957, Edwards married William “Red” Edwards, and they had two children, Jackie and Jim. Edwards was a social woman and liked to talk, which was perfect, with her working in the local grocery stores.
Edwards is preceded in death by her parents and her older brother.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, William “Red” Edwards; two children, Jackie and Jim Velten and Jim and Vicki Edwards; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; in-laws Cliff and Carol Edwards; their 15-year-old cat, Buddy; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.
No formal service is planned. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Research in Edwards’ name.
